Our comprehensive skin checks are performed by our qualified female doctor with the assistance of our specialist RN nurse. The doctor is qualified to do skin checks (dermoscopist).

The examinations involve getting undressed down to underwear in both clinics, a comfortable gown is always provided.

The skin check is a painless procedure, however, it can be a stressful time for our patients and we ensure empathy and a caring approach.
We make every effort not to rush our consultations allowing time to answer all your questions.
If a suspicious lesion is found you will be advised of the next steps and options. This may involve treatment with us at Claris Group with one of our specialist surgeons. Or, a follow up with your GP or specialist of your choice if visiting Claris is not an option for you.
No, all of our patients have the option to choose Claris or to be referred back to your GP for public referral.
Claris Group has a dedicated team who can provide you with continuation of care, we encourage our patients to remain with us, however we enjoy working with other health professionals, your pathway of care is very important to us.
Yes, Claris Group is Southern Cross Affiliated for the provision of skin cancer services. We receive self referrals as well as GP referrals.
Preventive skin checks are not covered by some insurances and we always encourage you to contact your insurance provider prior to make an appointment. However, our surgical treatments are covered by all insurances with our Plastic Surgeons.
